Israel threatens to intensify military operations in Gaza Strip

GAZA, Dec 3 (KUNA) -- Israel's Defense Minister Shaul Mofaz threatened on Saturday to intensify military operations in Gaza in retaliation for missile attacks by Palestinian resistance against the Israeli towns.

According to Israeli radio, Mofaz instructed the Israeli forces to perform a series of counter-strikes that are not restricted to where from the missiles were launched.

Earlier, Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, military wing of FATAH, declared responsibility for a missile attack in retaliation for the killing of two Palestinian activists in Khan Younes and Rafah.

In another development, Palestinian security forces said Israeli tanks had launched an attack against Gaza's Beit Lahya village without any casualties or injuries. (emd) zt.
